Our 40+ year old industrial contracting company is hiring! Our team is the kind where people stick around for years. Our people are, without question, MICON’s greatest asset and investment. We’re known for designing specialty solutions, customer-focus, and setting industry standards. Advancement opportunities exist within our growing organization.

Positions currently available for the following skills/areas:

* Shop labor

* Mechanical repair (experience with pumps is a plus)

* Manufacturing

* Construction

* Underground mining (completed MSHA 40-hour training preferred)

Hiring entry-level through mid-level management.

Warehouse rates start at $20-22 per hour. Competitive underground rates dependent on experience.

Full-time positions offer GREAT BENEFITS, including strong health insurance, 401k, profit sharing, employee wellness tax credit program, paid vacation & personal time, etc.

Local positions in shop/warehouse/manufacturing facility are in Glassport, PA. Part-time possible! Retirees and students welcome.

Underground technician positions require travel most weeks (mostly Appalachia, Midwest, or PA/NY; however travel to other regions possible - where/distance you’re willing to travel can be discussed). Mileage, per diem, hotel, and travel time paid. Some projects on the surface, but all technicians work underground.

When the Arctic cold hit and people needed power, TVA met the challenge. Five of the Top 10 energy days in TVA history were in January 2014.

Are fewer than one of every 10 Environmental Protection Agency employees essential to its work? Only federal employees classified as “essential” can work during a government shutdown. At EPA, that means just 6.6 percent of its workforce, according to Reuters.
