On May 4, Eat & Greet brought our community together around a shared belief that every child deserves the opportunity to grow up healthy, active, and thriving.

We’re proud to have been a sponsor of this incredible event, which raised more than $70,000 to support Fit4Kids’ school-based programs. Because of partnerships like these, local students will have greater access to Learning Garden lessons, active play and bike safety programs, healthy meals, and opportunities that support their wellness both in and out of school.

Celebrating One Year Since the Newport News Ribbon Cutting 🎉

Today marks one year since we celebrated the ribbon cutting of our Newport News office at 91 29th Street—and what a year it has been.

Over the past decade, Mark Turner Construction (MTC) has remained dedicated to transforming spaces and strengthening communities across Virginia. In Hampton Roads, that commitment continues to grow, with several standout projects that reflect both impact and purpose.

From the historic rehabilitation of Whittaker Place Apartments to advancing higher education through projects like the Hampton University Kittrell Hall School of Pharmacy renovation, our work speaks to the meaningful partnerships we build and the communities we serve.

Located in the Downtown Newport News Yard District, our team is proud to call this area home and remains committed to delivering facilities that truly make a difference—Bettering the Communities We Serve.

Here’s to one year in our Newport News office—and to many more years of building spaces that bring people together.

Proud to recognize Mark Turner Construction team members Kelsric Hurse, Jared Biagas, and Winsome Lamb for volunteering alongside two Hampton University Architecture students during Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg’s 2026 Joint City Home Repair Blitz.

More than 120 volunteers came together across Hampton and Newport News to repair homes, support local families, and strengthen neighborhoods throughout the Peninsula. From painting and landscaping to exterior repairs and cleanup efforts, every act of service helped create safer homes and renewed hope for families in our community.

We’re honored to support efforts that allow families to continue living safely, securely, and independently in their homes for years to come. Thank you to everyone who dedicated their time, skills, and hard work to making a lasting impact across our community!
