The FIRST Tech Challenge is a scaled-down version of the FIRST Robotics Competition. Members of Blue Cheese participate in this program as an introduction to the world of FIRST. Teams are given a different challenge every year and are required to build and program a robot using only a standard kit of parts provided to each team. FTC Robots are much smaller than FRC robots and must fit within an 18

" by 18" by 18" cube. Almost every team member on Blue Cheese starts their high school FIRST experience with FTC. In the past, Blue Cheese has mentored other FTC teams and presented state-wide FTC workshops.
