K-pop fans know the post-concert freebie collection is REAL. 😂

Photocards, bracelets, keychains, charms… all these little reminders of a really good night.

But instead of putting this tiny ARMY Bomb on my keys, my lingerie-designer brain had other plans. 💜

One jump ring later, and it has a new home on a BTS-inspired purple-and-black birthday bra.

And now I'm looking at the rest of my concert freebies thinking… what else can I turn into a bra charm?

Some projects are fun because of how they turn out.

Others are fun because they make you ask, “Wait… can I actually make that?”

Turns out, yes. And I’m ridiculously pleased with this one. 💜

A little lingerie design, a little patternmaking adventure, a few LEDs, some VERY useful pockets… and considerably more hand sewing than I agreed to emotionally.

Even better? I got to wear it to D1 of the BTS concert on Jung Kook’s birthday, just a few days before my own.

Pretty excellent way to kick off birthday week.

BRAugust Day 27: Sewing Machine 🧵

We get asked about this machine all the time... and honestly?

She's the sexy sewing machine of our dreams. 😄

Smooth. Precise. Completely unbothered by bulky seams, foam, or power mesh. She just quietly gets on with the job while I throw increasingly ambitious bra projects her way.

She's been the workhorse behind countless samples, tutorials, and bras over the years... and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks to and today's host for today's prompt!

Anyone else have a favorite sewing machine, or is it just me who's oddly attached to a piece of industrial equipment? 😂

And a big thank you to for helping this beauty find her way into the studio.

BRAugust Day 25: Matching Set 💛

This has to be my favorite matching set... and definitely my most extra. 😄

I approached about collaborating on a matching set using one of her beautiful vintage kimono fabrics. She created the gorgeous shoes, and I made the matching bra and knickers.

When matching lingerie isn't enough... 😄

It's still one of my favorite collaborations and a project that makes me smile every time I see it.

Thanks to and today's host for today's prompt!

What's the most "extra" matching set you've ever made?

As today's BRAugust sponsor, today's prompt is all about your Go-To Pattern!

We all have that pattern.

The one that's somehow ended up in every color, every lace, and every fabric combination you could get your hands on.

For me, it's the Liora Bra. It's one of those patterns I keep reaching for because it's endlessly customizable. Lace? Yep. Everyday basics? Absolutely. Vintage Kimono? You know it. And if you like having a sewing buddy along the way, there's a full video course too.

Now it's your turn!

✨ What's your go-to bra pattern?

Tell us which pattern you keep coming back to and why. Is it the fit? The versatility? The confidence boost every time you wear it? We'd love to hear the story behind your favorite.

🎁 To celebrate, we're giving away:
• Any LilypaDesigns PDF bra pattern of your choice
• A coordinating bra-making kit to match

How to enter today's BRAugust giveaway:

• Share your bra-making project on Instagram.
• Tag on the photo (not just in the caption).
• Tag on the photo too.
• Use in your caption.

We can't wait to see the pattern that's earned permanent status on your sewing table. You might even inspire someone's next favorite make!

BRAugust Day 20: WIP 💜

Currently on the sewing table... a longline Lusamine Bra in royal purple stretch satin from our Euro Collection and black eyelash lace.

The color palette may have been slightly influenced by the fact that I'm seeing BTS next month. 😄💜

Cut out, ready to sew, and apparently we're starting the concert outfit from the inside out. Priorities.

Thanks to and today's host for today's WIP prompt!

What's currently on your sewing table?

BRAugust Day 14: Top Tools 🧵

One of my favorite things about bra making is that you don't need a workshop full of specialty tools to get started.

That said... there are a few that make the process so much easier.

🧵 Appliqué (duck bill) scissors for all those tiny trimming jobs.

🧵 Wash-away thread because unpicking stitches is a lot less painful when they disappear with a little water. Future You will be grateful. 😄

🧵 A flexible curve ruler for pattern drafting, tracing curved areas, and smoothing out seam lines.

🧵 A rotary cutter and mat because cutting slippery fabrics is so much faster (and usually more accurate).

🧵 High-quality silk pins that glide through delicate fabrics instead of snagging them. My favorites are the Clover ones.

Thanks to and today's host for today's prompt!

What sewing tool has earned a permanent spot beside your machine?

Some weekends refill your creative cup. 💛

If you've ever wondered whether sewing events are worth the trip... sometimes the classes are only half the reason to go.

It's the conversations in the hallways, the shared excitement over a clever fitting trick, and finally meeting internet sewing friends in real life that stay with you long after you've unpacked your suitcase.

Needless to say... I'm already counting down to next year.

What's the best sewing event you've ever attended... or which one is still on your bucket list?

BRAugust Day 6: First Make 💛

Oh, my first bra... she wasn't exactly a masterpiece. 😄

The stitching wandered wherever it pleased, there were plenty of mistakes, and the fit was... let's call it "aspirational."

But you know what?

I was incredibly proud of it.

Because every beautifully fitting bra I've made since started with that one. Every wonky seam taught me something, and every mistake made the next bra a little better.

Sometimes the most important project isn't the prettiest one... it's the one that gives you the confidence to make another.

Thanks to and today's host for today's prompt!

I'd love to see your first make too. Was it love at first stitch... or more of a "we don't talk about that one anymore" situation? 😄

The community was my favorite part of PatternCon... but the classes definitely gave my brain a workout.

Jennifer Stearns' session on fitting pants was packed with practical techniques I'll be thinking about for a long time. Jasmine's draping class was incredibly inspiring, and the Denise's session on thermoplastics was such a fun reminder that sometimes the best solutions come from looking beyond traditional garment sewing.

One of my favorite things about conferences like this is seeing how different teachers approach the same challenge. Every instructor brings a unique perspective, and I always come home with a few new ideas to experiment with in my own pattern drafting and teaching.

Now comes the fun part... figuring out which idea to dive into first. 😊

Have you ever come home from a class or conference feeling like your brain had ten new tabs open?
