Meteocontrol North America meteocontrol offers software and hardware for solar PV monitoring as well as I.E. services to support solar sites.

The meteocontrol GmbH arose from an engineering office for solar technology established 1978. Since its reorganization in 2002 it has developed into an internationally active company with branches in Germany and abroad and about 100 employees. Established in 1976 the "ist" engineering office for solar technology in Kandern-Wollbach (Germany) laid the foundation for our expertise in research, plann

ing and consultancy in the solar technology sector. The surveying of 50 solar heated swimming pools in Europe was one of the company’skey aspects of activity between 1980 and 1985. During this time the engineers of the recently established ist EnergieTechnik GmbH developed the first software programs for solar systems. The research work in the PV area intensified with the opening of the Augsburg office. On behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research the company’s engineers developed the first remote measurement network for measuring PV systems as part of the “1,000 roofs program”. The results of the measurement formed the basis of the since then leading remote monitoring system safer’Sun and the data logger WEB’log. With the foundation of ist EnergieCom GmbH in 1998 the focus continued to shift towards monitoring and visualizing solar power systems. The implementation of the German Renewable Energies Law in 2000 boosted the development of cost-effective monitoring concepts and services for ensuring the highest possible yields and the lowest possible downtimes. meteocontrol supplies its customers in every stadium of the project – from yield reports and technical due diligence evaluation through to operational management and yield analyses of solar systems. With this comprehensive product and service portfolio meteocontrol advises and supports national and international large-scale projects with total investment amounts that are now well in excess of thirteen billion euros.
