DM Neuman Construction is hiring! Looking for qualified applicants for Project Manager/Estimator, Skilled Carpenter and Laborer Positions.

Skilled Carpenter - trim carpentry, set doors, custom millwork, small jobs, etc.

Laborer - driving truck with trailer, running equipment, material pick-up/delivery, helping hand on multiple projects

PM/Estimator (only looking to hire 1) - detail oriented, well organized person with strong computer skills. Material take-offs, subcontractor coordination, project estimating, tracking changes.

Good attitude and team approach is a must for all positions!

We're a great company to work for - we've have had some retirements this year and are looking to hire a good fit for the long-term. We work primarily in Glenwood and Carbondale - no commute!

We are absolutely heartbroken over the recent passing of our long-time superintendent, John Schell. John passed away yesterday, October 26, 2021 due to complications from cancer. John retired from DM Neuman in January 2020, and will be forever missed here – his humor, his work ethic and his genuine goodness was unmatched; he was truly one of a kind. His family has informed us that he will be wearing a DM Neuman t-shirt under his suit at his burial – we cannot be more honored to hear this, and are so thankful and grateful that we were able to share in his life for all those years. God Bless you John, we will miss you!

Responsible for bookkeeping duties, assisting in construction draws, A/P, A/R, Payroll, Job Costing, as well as assisting the Project Mangers in other various duties such as submittals, RFI’s, plan distribution etc. Seeking someone who is friendly, outgoing, able to multi-task, reliable and looking for an opportunity to advance. Windows, doors, and walls.... Oh my, the DM Neuman Construction Crew has been busy over spring break on our school remodel! The new windows are in on the Blake Avenue side of the building, they are starting on the new doors, and the preschool addition walls are up. Next fall we will be able to increase the number of preschoolers in our wonderful, fully licensed and accredited preschool program!

It is bittersweet for us to announce the retirement of our long-time superintendent John Schell. John has worked in the construction industry for close to 50 years, and has been with DM Neuman Construction for over 20 years. He has been instrumental in the construction and completion of dozens of our projects, including most of the large-scale commercial work that we have completed in the past. We cannot begin to describe how much we will miss John's positivity, amazing work ethic, flexibility, and overall brilliance in construction field management. He has been an amazing asset to our team and we wish him the best in his retirement!
