Tri-Star began as a parts only facility in 1982 in the basement of LaRue Drug in
Glenwood, Iowa. In 1983, as the business began to outgrow its location, Rex
Bristow, the owner and president, built a building at 207 S. As time progressed the need for heating
and air conditioning services grew. Tri-Star became a full service heating & air
conditioning business with ___employees, trucks,
Eventually Tri-Star outgrew the location on S.Locust, making the move to 501
Railroad Avenue in 2005.

We recently wrapped up our team meeting where we celebrated the wins from an incredible first quarter of 2026 and locked in our game plan for the busy season ahead. From service calls to installs, it’s the hard work, dedication, and teamwork of our crew that continue to drive us forward.

This Explore the Trades Day, organized by Career EdVantage , gave students a behind-the-scenes look at what a future in HVAC and home services can look like. From hands-on demonstrations to real-world insights, Dylan and Grant shared their expertise, passion, and commitment to developing the next generation of leaders in our industry.
