Roseburg Blocktober Fest

Downtown Roseburg will likely see one of its busiest weekends of the year as it gears up for a day of live music, freshly-poured pints and community gathering at the 5th Annual Roseburg Blocktober Fest.
Centered around food, drinks, live performance and art, the festival is among Roseburg’s fastest growing, drawing in an estimated 5,000 attendees in 2025. This year’s Blocktober Fest runs from 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Entry is free, with no parking enforcement in the area during event hours.
This year, Neighborworks Umpqua Executive Director Erica Mills said the festival is planning for around 200 vendors, ranging from food to craft brews to handmade art and crafts.
Mills said the appeal of Blocktober Fest is the vibe it brings, with packed streets offering a chance to socialize and come together.
“There’s nothing quite like seeing downtown Roseburg packed with thousands of people. The streets are full, the businesses are busy, music is playing, and everywhere you look people are connecting with friends and neighbors. There’s just a great energy to it. It feels like a celebration of Roseburg,” Mills said.
At the center of the festival is its community stage, where a lineup of five bands will perform rock, folk, funk-fusion and more throughout the day. A short walk away is the family stage which will feature line and hula dancing and a performance from the Umpqua Actors Community Theatre.
Among the performers is Phillip Reed, who will perform with his sibling Aaron in The Brother’s Reed for their second Blocktober Fest appearance. He said his favorite part of performing at the festival is how it gets people in good spirits before he steps onto the stage.
“The vibes are already higher and it’s obviously kind of a party-like environment,” Reed said. “Everyone’s already happy to be there and I think they’re eager to listen to music and drink good b**r and chat...you can just tell, people are just stoked.”
Another main attraction of Blocktober Fest is craft b**r, with local breweries such as Two-Shy Brewing, Lookingglass Brewery and North Forty B**r Co. handing out drinks for tokens, which sell for $2 each.
North Forty Brewing Co. owner and Blocktober Fest founder R.J. Mills said he helped start it as a way to connect citizens with local business.
“The impetus really was offering ways for individuals to participate connect with organizations and businesses that are here as well,” Mills said. “As a brewery, we’re always looking for ways to stand out and there’s a handful of events annually that we can reliably be a part of...it’s nice that Blocktober Fest is one of those.”
