Front crossmember / intake pipe for a MK2 Volkswagen GTI. This was a very difficult problem to solve, due to the VR6 supercharged engine and the software it was on, it needed an intake pipe with at least 18 to 24 in between the mass air flow sensor in the supercharger inlet, otherwise the pulses from the supercharger were messing up the signal from the mass air flow sensor. And due to lack of room in the engine compartment, and the customer wanting to run the earlier small bumpers, the only solution I could come up with was to make the front crossmember for the front motor mount also the intake pipe, so everything could be fitted behind the lower front sheet metal. Originally this wasn't going to be a problem because the customer was going to be running the 90 to 92 style large bumpers with plenty of room, but they changed their mind, and this was the solution I came up with. It ended up working very well!

Finally had some time to rip apart the 2001 Suburban engine donor for the Impala project, then get a bunch of Camaro parts such as the oil pan and exhaust manifolds swapped onto the engine to get the LS engine finally sitting in the Impala! Minor modification of the crossmember had to be done for oil pan clearance, but with the parts I chose, the rest of it fit surprisingly well outside of a few ignition coils that interfere with the air conditioning components on the firewall and the brake booster, but that will just be a few simple relocations of those two rearward coils. Next up is the entire new fuel system including new tank with in tank walbro 255 fuel pump.

It's been awhile since I posted an update on the motorcycle fuel tank/fender project, because Facebook decided I needed a 30-day vacation after I showered my dislike for somebody's anti police post... 😂. Getting there! Still need a weld in an internal vent tube to allow air to get into the top of the tank as fuel depletes, form the curved shell that will conform to the tire that will be the back of the tank, then add fittings and the filler cap! The world's unfortunately I'll have to be smooth on the outside because it is either getting painted or powder coated, so most of the welds also have a very structural inside weld to them as well.

Ripped out the tiny battery holder on this camper, and upgraded it to a battery holder that could do two deep cycles in parallel, this should be a huge upgrade for this thing! 300 watts of solar panels are also coming for this camper! This is actually a personal in-house project, should be very fun this summer!

Don't forget that we can also move your disabled vehicles! Trailer is also winch equipped!

The right door accidentally opened on the back of this dump trailer for a customer, and then hit the ground when it was put in the dump position bending all three hinges, and breaking two of them completely off! The 3/8 in thick steel hinges took quite a bit of work to get straight, the customer said the door actually shuts better now than it did when it was new! I did some adjusting to the opposite side door which did not get damaged from the incident, it was just slightly off from the factory so the two doors didn't want to close smoothly. Customer picked it up this morning and is very happy! I am jealous, I would love to have this trailer!

Final welding of the trailer with portable winch mount and tail light buckets done! Wire wheeled the whole trailer in prep for paint, then used a spray gun to spray the whole trailer in oil-based gloss black tractor paint. Final assembly and wiring should be done today, then I can go get wood for the sides and floor!

Did some more mods to the in house car hauling trailer, added some additional tie down points for the chain ratchets. Even got a chance to use them already, very happy! Still have two more to add, and I'm not 100% sure where I want them yet, so I just spot painted these for now, and then after the other two are mounted I will strip and repaint this whole back metal deck section with tractor/implement paint.
