On May 29th, 2007, Brian joined the Tidewater Energy team as an LP delivery driver at our Saratoga location. Over the years, he has delivered to customers across the Saratoga, Scotland Neck, and Goldsboro territories, while also helping the Service Department out at times. In 2020, Brian became the branch manager for our Scotland Neck location. In 2022, he took on the role of branch manager in Saratoga as well. Currently, Brian continues to fulfill the role of manager for our Saratoga and Scotland Neck locations.

Brian says he appreciates all of his customers and has enjoyed all of the encounters he has had with them over the years, and he looks forward to many more as he continues his career with Tidewater Energy. He is also thankful for the friendships that he has made with his coworkers and for all that he has learned from each and everyone of them.

In Brian’s free time, he enjoys spending time and making memories with his wife of 21 years Lori, his daughter Ashlynn (20), and his son Connor (18), along with the rest of his family and friends. His dog, Tank, whom he rescued after it showed up at the Saratoga office 2 ½ years ago, is his loyal companion who follows him everywhere and has to be right beside him at all times. Brian also enjoys traveling—especially going on cruises, grilling, and raising and breeding fish.

Ty began his career with the company in 2021 as a Seed Treatment Specialist for our company’s fertilizer division. In 2024, he transitioned into the gas division as a Service Technician, where he “had the opportunity to learn from some very knowledgeable colleagues, including Gary Whitley and Kevin Pearson.” He says, “Their guidance and experience helped me grow both personally and professionally.”

Today, Ty proudly serves as the manager of our Tidewater Energy locations in Goldsboro, La Grange, and Richlands. He states, “What makes this job truly special are the people I work alongside each day and the customers we have the privilege to serve.”

Outside of work, Ty enjoys spending time with his wife and their two beautiful daughters.

Kandace joined the Tidewater Energy team in December 2019 as an administrative assistant at our Goldsboro gas outlet. In April 2023, she moved over to our Service Department to serve as the admin at that location.

When asked about her job, she says, “I love connecting with customers from all the different cities we serve, and I’m lucky to work alongside such a great team every day.”

She says, “Outside of work, life has been even better—I married my amazing husband Logan, and in November 2025 we welcomed our sweet little boy, Waylon Ryder.”

When she’s not working, you can usually find Kandace spending time with friends and family, riding side-by-sides, or anywhere near the water during the summer. She says, “Work hard, enjoy life—that’s the balance I try to live by.”

Joining the team in February 2023, Derek has been one of the dependable LP delivery drivers at our Tidewater Energy location in Washington for the past 3 years. In addition to delivering to the customers on his route, he helps train new drivers hired on at the location.

When asked about his job, he says, “I have seen a few people come and go over the last few years, and I enjoyed working with all of them.”

In his free time, Derek likes playing sports with his two boys. He also enjoys hunting and shooting guns.
