Wayne Community College celebrated a milestone as the final steel beam was hoisted into place for the new Agriculture Laboratory Building during the Building Beam Raising Ceremony.

During the ceremony, College President Dr. Pfeiffer installed the WCC-branded beam with assistance from Jackson Builders Inc.’s Bradley Henderson, Andrew Clark, and Chester Foss. Earlier, WCC staff and investors had the chance to sign the beam, which was painted in the college’s signature blue and adorned with its logo. Once construction is complete, the beam will remain visible from inside the building.

This project will enhance agricultural education at Wayne Community College and benefit the broader agricultural community throughout Eastern North Carolina. We are honored to help bring the college’s vision to life.

Great progress is being made on Wayne Community College’s Agricultural Laboratory Building! The site has been bustling for the past month as infrastructure has been put in place, and footers and slabs have been poured and set for the steel structure. This past Friday, the steel framework was erected, and you can now really get a feel for the facility's layout.

Thank you to the Arcon Construction team for the steel er****on work and to C Design for the architectural design work that will make this building an efficient learning environment for students.

Wayne Community College is excited to see the Agriculture Laboratory Building become a reality! This new facility will expand hands-on learning opportunities, support workforce development, and strengthen agricultural education for our community.

Progress continues at the ABC Distribution Warehouse site. The metal roofing is nearly finished, and the exterior framing is ready for masonry work to begin. Interior framing is nearing completion, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins underway. Utilities are prepped, and the ABC stone installation will start soon.

Jackson Builders is grateful to partner with the Wayne County Development Alliance on this project, the first building constructed within the Wayne County Business Campus.

As Jackson Builders Inc. continues work on the Alianza production facility in ParkEast Industrial Park, a key element of the project is taking shape—one that will benefit not only Alianza but also the broader community.

Norfolk Southern is constructing a rail spur to serve Alianza’s facility, providing increased flexibility for exports and enabling the company to better meet customer demand in the Northeastern U.S.

This rail spur will also provide opportunities for future industries to connect and benefit from this valuable resource.

Jackson Builders Inc.'s construction progress on the Alianza project's final phase.

Although Alianza has begun production at its new state-of-the-art food facility in Goldsboro, NC, and is already receiving materials and shipping products by truck, Jackson Builders Inc. is still at work on the final phase of the project. This phase includes constructing the “Polishing Building”/Tower, which will remove fats from oils for use in other products.

Additionally, a Norfolk Southern rail spur with double tracks is being installed. This will provide Alianza’s tank farm and warehouse facilities with railcar access, enabling shipments by rail in tanker cars and boxcars.
