Baton Rouge Zoo Improvements

So excited to have an opportunity to submit a bid on various scopes of work for the much-needed zoo improvements!

As a certified WBE/WOSB, I am hoping to be competitive on the concrete, masonry, trusses/carpentry, fire suppression, and electrical scopes.

Looking for other, less formally organized DBEs, WBEs,  and any other trades or businesses who would like to participate with me!

Bringing shade to two EBR playground parks soon. We’re wrapping up this one in a couple of weeks. The biggest challenge here was protecting rubberized mulch surfaces and working in between existing playground equipment and landscaping as we drilled deep foundations ( 30”, 36”, 42” diameter) on existing playgrounds. We placed rebar cages into the drilled shafts and erected steel columns 11’ -21’ high securing them with 24” long anchor bolts measuring between 7/8” and 1 1/2” in diameter....big uns!

Bernie Moore Pavilion @ LSU: Before and After. The galvanized tube metal framing will receive graphics panels by others.

All of the headaches were in the subsurface work here.

Working on an active university campus presents many challenges.

For the last three weeks I have been focused on a fast track renovation project. We have converted the Saint Theresa cafeteria to the new Warrior Café.It has been a wonderful growth challenge to be able to design and build on the fly, All the while creating a new brand. In the picture below we removed the old structure and installed a new modesty wall. Many more "before and Afters " to come. Sure, it's been exhausting for all of us but the reward will be seen in the faces of the children when they return on Monday. I think they're going to really dig it.
