Most steel fabrication companies are not interested in tying up their shop for a multiple coat, hi-performance coating system that requires extended drying times. Fabricators simply ship their steel, equipment and piping systems to Phillips Industrial to have us apply the system specified by the owner — it makes for a very smooth project.

If painting an aircraft carrier isn’t difficult enough, the many years of paint build-up contained lead. Painting the U.S.S. Yorktown required the following: 40,000 C.F.M. dust collector to pull negative air pressure inside our containments, a de-con trailer, and steel grit recycling/blasting equipment. Phillips Industrial uses steel grit and recycling abrasives to save our customers on large fees for hazardous disposal.
