Northern Tier Contracting, a growing Commercial Contractor seeks a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to be based out of our Gouverneur, NY location. Mechanics work with our site supervisors to keep our equipment serviced, maintained and operable. They are responsible for diagnosing, servicing and routine maintenance of equipment such as fleet trucks, skid steers, excavators, lifts and large tools both in shop and on site. Requirements include the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, track routine maintenance, show up on time, follow all safety regulations, and perform exemplary work with a positive attitude and be willing to learn new skills. Must be organized, have reliable transportation and be able to travel to St. Lawrence, Jefferson and Franklin counties. Northern Tier Contracting offers a competitive salary, vacation and sick time, 401K, Health, Vision and Dental Insurance. Last week, Northern Tier Contracting held its annual meeting, during which employees reviewed benefits and requirements. Additionally, all employees received comprehensive training in First Aid, CPR, AED and Narcan administration. These skills are crucial, as they can potentially save lives in critical situations. Thank you Gouverneur Community Center for allowing us to hold training here and NY Pizzeria for delivering lunch!

The Children's Museum's second floor construction and renovation project will begin in March. We are excited to work with Northern Tier Contracting on our expansion.
