We had an admin day to get things prepared for an upcoming kitchen remodel. With a valuable helper we were sure to get everything checked off our list. He may even talked me into some new batting gloves for t-ball and a new toy from the store for all his hard work.

While we wait for the next few homes to be ready and the basement to be painted and have the flooring installed. We slide into another one, here we were going go tear out all the trim, flooring, countertops, and master shower.

Here’s a quick walk through of what the house looked like before we demoed it all.

Remember our first reel, we posted about a week agoo? Well we just finished the first project so it’s ready for stain and paint. On this one we set several door, cased the door a windows, ran some base, built a mantle and a few wainscoting walls. The real test was this massive beam and two columns though. We took the center section which was 2” wider than the outside runs and made it all the same size for this kick butt beam and colums.

Got back to the stairs this week to finish them up with some sleek black metal balusters. Our doors and cased opening had also been painted. We also got tasked with installing the partitions, some floating countertops, and some bathroom accessories to finish this space out.

After we loaded up from the stairs. We had an easy Friday. A client wasn’t happy with how the first carpenters trim turned out on their new island, so they reached out to see if we could help. After tearing it all off and getting some new boards we’re ready now for the countertop.

First photo is what the client sent me. Second and third are what it looks like now that we’re done.

We got the stairs all finished up with skirts boards, holes for balusters and finishing the floor cap. Now time for painters and then we’ll be back to install the metal balusters for the finishing touches.

We left the lakes and came back to town todo a little office. It has (11) doors, a single cased opening and a stairway.

A stairway you say? Yep, first time doing anything more than a plain hard rail by myself. Watch out things are starting to heat up over here and we’re beginning to get dangerous.
