Speaker Bio:
Patrick Weydt is a graduate from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelors’ degree in Chemical Engineering Later, Patrick received his Masters’ in Business Administration from California Lutheran University. He is also a Certified Master Black Belt in Lean Sigma and Design for Lean Sigma.
He began his career as a process engineer for Hutchinson Technology, Inc. (now TDK). Since then, he has held various roles at different companies. These include product design, process development, product development leadership, chemical factory management, and medical device development. As a part of this experience, Patrick has led every engineering discipline. Currently, Patrick is the Head of Engineering for PBS Biotech, a start-up company the designs and manufactures bioreactors.
Patrick will be discussing his experience in established companies versus his experience at a start-up. He will present, from his point of view, what is needed to be successful in each of these types of organizations.
