He invented, patented and trademarked what is known today as the “Birdcage” Level Transmitter. With success of the Birdcage product, Blue Ribbon expanded its offering to electronic level controllers to compliment the Birdcage product as well as their other level and
pressure transmitters. Because of the exceptional field support and service, customers demanded other products from Blue Ribbon. Prod
ucts such as pressure gauges, thermometers, shut off valves and diaphragm seals, all associated with the water & waste water marketplace, where then added to the Blue Ribbon offering. Initially these other products where added as a distribution line. As demand grew, Blue Ribbon partnered with another company to produce the Blue Ribbon line of gauges and thermometers. In December 2005, Blue Ribbon Corporation joined GP:50 and became the Municipal Division. The Blue Ribbon and Birdcage brand name brought Waste water recognition to GP:50 and GP:50’s increased manufacturing gave Blue Ribbon the ability to meet customer demands.
