Works Construction is a growing custom home and cabin renovation company operating across Northern Minnesota. We run 5โ8 active projects simultaneously, ranging from full custom builds to high-end finish work.
We are looking for a Field Project Manager to be our eyes and ears on the ground. This role is perfect for someone who has been in the field long enough to know how things should go, but is ready to step into a leadership position. You don't just swing a hammerโyou make sure everything is in place so everyone else can.
๐ Position At A Glance
Employment Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Location: Northern Minnesota (Daily site travel required; mileage reimbursed)
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Reports To: Nathan (Owner / Lead PM)
๐ Core Responsibilities
Daily Site Management: Walk active sites daily to verify crews are on task and work is progressing on schedule.
Crew & Sub Coordination: Direct field crews, assign daily tasks, and orient subcontractors on-site.
Materials & Quality Control: Confirm deliveries arrive undamaged and inspect work at each phase to catch errors early.
Reporting: Send a quick 5-minute end-of-day field note update per project to the Owner.
๐ช What Weโre Looking For
Experience: 3+ years in residential construction (custom homes or cabin renovations preferred) and experience leading a crew (even informally).
Skills: Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, trade coordination, and clear communication.
Tech & Tools: Smartphone proficiency (we use BuilderTrend for project tracking).
Requirements: Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
