Our underlayments team in DFW kept it moving on the Amli Treehouse Project in Addison.

The project was near a high-traffic road, but that didn't slow us down. In total we delivered 25,988 SF of balconies, 4,074 SF of stair landings, and 395,635 SF of underlayment for this five-story wrap apartment complex. That's our Four Hallmarks in action.

“Take everything you learn, and keep it in your pocket.” That’s advice UNT student and construction intern Ivan Gonzalez says has stuck with him this summer at Kent.

Ivan and Oscar Orellana have been working on the Richardson Innovation Center project, getting a firsthand look at how projects come together in real time. For Oscar, that’s been the best part of the experience so far.

Andrea Martinez is back for her second summer, this time supporting estimating and project management after getting her start as a safety intern last year.

And at Hyatt House, Michael Janicke has been getting hands-on experience supporting pours and working directly alongside field crews to learn the pace and coordination behind the work.

From the jobsite to the field, our University of North Texas student interns are getting real experience with the teams leading the charge across DFW. We call that a summer well spent.

Ross Business Park is moving in Austin, TX. While panels are being flown on Building 1, our team is simultaneously pouring 1,300 CY of concrete and casting 61 tilt-up panels for Building 2.

Construction intern, firefighter, and hero. That's Matt Corrigan.

Matt's first week as a West Michigan concrete intern took an unexpected turn when the vehicle he was riding in came upon a serious car accident. They pulled over, and Matt jumped into action. Using his emergency response training, Matt provided critical aid to an injured passenger and stayed on scene until EMS arrived.

Quick thinking and taking action when it counts is the kind of mindset we respect at Kent. We're proud to have you on our team, Matt.
