Walker Tool & Die, Inc. Manufacturing World Class Metal Stamping Dies for over 50 years. In 1959, Walker Tool & Die, Inc. began operations in the back of a gas station in Grand Rapids.

Within a few years, the company purchased its own building and moved to its current location. The original block building was about the size of a small garage. Today’s facility covers over 2 acres! Throughout the years, Walker has continually revised and expanded it’s equipment list and today operates an array of sophisticated machines and tryout presses. Included are wire EDMs, a 6-axis laser, ov

er a dozen machining centers, as well as small vertical and horizontal mills, grinders, saws and miscellaneous equipment. Walker Tool & Die, Inc. at Allendale High School Falcons Focusing on the Future!

We had the honor of participating in Allendale High School’s Falcons Focusing on the Future event, where we got to showcase the exciting career opportunities within the tool and die, manufacturing, and engineering sectors!

Our team Gerrit Tibbe, Tim Schenck, and Jeff Umlor shared insights into the world of tool and die making, highlighting the skills, technology, and innovation that power our industry. It was inspiring to engage with students and help them envision a future in the trades, engineering, and advanced manufacturing.

A big thank you to Allendale High School for hosting us and giving us the chance to connect with the next generation of talent! We’re excited to continue supporting the development of skilled professionals and fostering growth in the industry.

Recent investments in CNC machining capabilities, including adding a new, giant double-column three-cutting-head Okuma machining center, allow Walker Tool & Die to provide metal stampers with optimum die-surface quality, predictable performance in the press and improved part tolerances.
