Earlier this month, Peter Baldwin made the trip to Elmhurst, IL to celebrate the groundbreaking for Timothy Christian Schools "Stack the WAC" campaign.

This project is close to our hearts. Timothy Christian is a valued client and a school community that thinks deeply about why they build, not just what they build. The new addition will expand the middle school and Ward Athletic Center, bring further renovations to the elementary school, enhance campus security, and — most uniquely — introduce an AI & STEM Center designed to help students engage the future with both competence and conviction.

We're honored to serve as Timothy Christian's design partner and can't wait to see the impact this project will have.

We’re excited to welcome Emily Rodriguez to the AMDG team as a Senior Interior Designer.

From the beginning, Emily was drawn to the people at AMDG and the way the team genuinely cares — about each other, about clients, and about creating spaces that make a lasting impact. That people-first mindset is something she connected with immediately.

Emily believes meaningful design starts with understanding people well and creating environments that help them thrive. She’s especially excited to build strong client relationships and collaborate on projects that improve everyday experiences through thoughtful design.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys Latin dancing, traveling, concerts and music festivals, bouldering, photography, and jigsaw puzzles.

Fun fact: Emily is part of a bachata performance dance team and has even performed in New York City.

What a spring it's been! As the school year winds down, we're reflecting on some of our favorite moments — and the students who made them so memorable.

This season, AMDG welcomed Michigan State University Interior Design students to the studio, participated in West Side Christian School's Exploratory Day, and hosted a student job shadow. Every visit brought fresh energy, great questions, and a reminder of why this work matters.

Investing in the next generation of architects and designers is something we genuinely love doing. And there's something meaningful about it for us — a lot of our work goes into designing the spaces where students like these will one day learn and grow. We get to see both sides of that story.

Some spaces take years to imagine. This one took over a decade.

This week, Illiana Christian High School celebrated the dedication of the Sola Center — a new performing arts auditorium that has been part of the vision since we first developed a campus master plan together. This is our third phase of work with Illiana Christian.

The Sola Center is a 21st century learning environment where performing arts can truly come alive. Every detail was shaped around the students and community it will serve for generations, creating a welcoming, adaptable space where creativity flourishes, faith is lived out, and lasting relationships are built.

Projects like this don't happen without remarkable clients, dedicated builders, and a design and engineering team willing to stay the course through years of planning and collaboration. We're grateful to the entire Illiana Christian community for trusting us with something this meaningful.

Congratulations to Illiana Christian High School. The Sola Center is everything you dreamed it would be — and we can't wait to see what unfolds within its walls.

We’re excited to officially welcome Amy Bierling to the AMDG team as a Project Coordinator.

Amy first connected with AMDG through an initial assignment supporting the accounting team, where she quickly found herself drawn to the welcoming environment, encouraging culture, and values of the firm. When the opportunity came to join the team on a full-time basis, she was excited to say yes.

In her role, Amy helps keep projects moving smoothly from concept to completion, bringing organization, communication, and a steady presence to the team. She especially looks forward to contributing to projects that positively impact the local community while also collaborating with colleagues across the country through Stonewall Studios.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with family, reading, visiting gardens and museums, traveling, and volunteering with Babies Welfare Guild.

Fun fact: Amy has been a licensed esthetician for over 25 years and has worked as a makeup artist since college.

We’re proud to recognize Cylee Weining, Architectural Intern at AMDG, for being awarded the AIA Michigan Presidents’ Scholarship for the 2026–2027 academic year.

This highly competitive scholarship honors graduate students who demonstrate leadership in professional, community, and public service. Cylee embodies each of these qualities with intention and consistency. Over the past two years, she has become an integral part of our team and has demonstrated a genuine desire to grow.

As she continues her Master of Architecture studies at Lawrence Technological University, this recognition is both well-earned and well-deserved. More importantly, Cylee reflects the kind of perseverance, intellectual curiosity, and quiet leadership that strengthens our profession.

Cylee approaches her work with a mindset rooted in purpose—seeking not only to design well, but to contribute meaningfully to the people and communities our work serves.
