Pioneer Construction is proud to partner with The Green Apple Pantry this holiday season to support families in need throughout the Grand Rapids area. The pantry typically serves 500 to 600 families each month. This year the need is even greater, and more than 900 families have requested assistance.

To help meet this growing demand, Pioneer is hosting a Food Drive now through Dec. 8. We welcome donations from staff, partners and community members.

Items needed include:
• Canned meats, vegetables, fruits, soups and broth
• Nonperishable snacks, cereals and grains
• Pasta and spaghetti sauce
• Coffee and tea
• Baking essentials
• Peanut butter and jelly

We’re thrilled to celebrate Audrey Terwilliger, Ironworker and Certified Welder at Pioneer Construction, who was recently honored as a 2025 Legacy Builder by the Steel Erectors Association of America (SEAA).

Audrey brings energy and leadership to every project, known for her consistent work ethic and the positive influence she has on her crews. One of her favorite parts of the job? The unmatched view from the top of a steel structure.

In May, Audrey was formally recognized at the SEAA Convention & Trade Show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for her contributions to the steel construction industry.

Today, we celebrated a major milestone at the Acrisure Amphitheater as the final steel beam was placed in the venue’s canopy! 🏗️

It’s an exciting moment for this transformative project in Grand Rapids, made possible through the collaboration of our partners Barton Malow and Progressive Companies. We’re proud to help bring this world-class venue to life and can’t wait to see the impact it will have on West Michigan’s entertainment scene.

With the Phase 1 complete, Hope Network on Tuesday welcomed the first tenants of Eastpointe Commons, serving low-income residents. Some units are designated for people suffering chronic homelessness.

Congratulations to our Metal Building Team on their recent recognition in Metal Builder for the WACO Aircraft Corporation hangar at Battle Creek Executive Airport! Varco Pruden Buildings knocked this one out of the park.

Erecting airplane hangars can be challenging. To achieve the clear spans needed for the interior and at hangar door end frames, a Rigid Frame system was used
