Clear Heights Construction, LLC Formerly A.K. Equipment, Inc, We have been putting up Fabric Buildings since 1995. These are Steel Trusses with a polypropylene Fabric Cover.

Clear Heights Construction LLC offers fully engineered fabric buildings designed to the highest standards in the industry and in full conformance with local and international building codes. We work with 4-5 different manufactures. We primarily operate in Michigan, but are willing to travel if we need too. We have currently installed 1200-1500 buildings in the State of Michigan Alone. We also have

some buildings in Kansas, Iowa, California, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. Since we work with 4-5 different manufacturers, we can find the best possible building to fit your specific needs. The most common fabric building question we get is "how long does that stuff last?"

These two buildings were constructed for a city DPW here in Michigan in 2006. One is a 55' x 40' salt storage building, the other is a 62' x 100' equipment storage.

The DPW supervisor has been there since these buildings were constructed. He informed us the city has spent "almost nothing" in time or money to maintain these buildings, including the salt storage building. All the fabric is original and shows no signs of stopping. And these aren't even the oldest ones!

20 years later, we have -

- Stronger galvanization coatings for trusses in corrosive environments

- Heavier fabric with longer warranties

- Better QC, testing, and engineering methods

- New designs for full interior load / unload

Check out this 100' x 300' Britespan Apex building at Rose Acres Farms in Monon, IN.

This fabric structure delivers ample space and ventilation for chicken litter use, with a custom leg and base plate designed to conform to the preexisting foundation.

Noticed anything different on 44th St. and 131 North lately?

We’ve just completed a beautiful 72’ x 120’ structure for AIS Equipment Corp. This building includes a large commercial overhead door for easy interior access, a durable yet modular bin block foundation, and a gorgeous gray cover.

And we’re not done yet—in the next few weeks, we’ll be relocating their existing hoop building to a new location on-site and giving it a brand-new cover. Keep in mind that we can repair or recover any fabric building—no matter the size or manufacturer.

Take a look at this 70’ x 170’ boat storage building we completed in Charlevoix last year!

Both the building and its foundation were fully engineered. Notice the bin block foundation: thanks to our proprietary block strapping system, many of our structures can be installed on blocks, offering a much more affordable alternative to traditional poured walls.
