How do you ensure a tank bottom is leak-tight before filling it? Vacuum Box Leak Detection is the proven industry standard.

When screening methods like Eddy Current identify a potential flaw, the next step is determining the actual remaining wall thickness. That is where IRIS comes in.

IRIS, or Internal Rotary Inspection System, is an ultrasonic method used to obtain accurate, absolute wall thickness measurements inside tubes. Using an ultrasonic transducer and rotating mirror, the system creates a helical scan pattern along the full length of the tube. With the tube flooded with water, IRIS provides precise thickness data that helps verify and size indications with confidence.

Because IRIS does not rely on electromagnetic response, it can be used on both ferrous and non-ferrous tube materials. That makes it a strong method for confirming screening results and better understanding true tube condition.
