📢 The Canadian National Railroad (CN) will close the Center Street railroad crossing in order to perform needed track repairs beginning Monday, May 5th (weather permitting) with an estimated reopening the evening of Tuesday, May 6th.
‼️Please note, this timeframe could change based on weather and many other factors.‼️ Please allow for extra travel time during this closure.
• The easiest way to access the downtown Grayslake Village Center during this period is to enter off Lake Street (all downtown businesses will remain open).
• Railroads will need to be crossed at Lake Street or Belvidere Road as an alternative to Center Street.
• Canadian National is also posting a signed detour to help guide drivers during this time period.
If we learn of any updates or changes regarding the timing of this closure, we’ll post them here and the Village of Grayslake channels.
