With colder weather coming here are some tips to protect your pipes from freezing -
Insulation: Wrap exposed pipes with insulation sleeves or heat tape, especially in areas with limited heat like crawl space, basement, garages and attics.
Maintain Constant Temperature: Keep thermostat set at a constant temp (minimum 55*) even at night during cold weather.
Access To Warm Air: Open cabinet doors under sink to allow warm air from house to reach pipes.
Drip Faucets: When temperatures drop significantly, let small stream of water drip from faucet furthest from water meter.
Outdoor Faucets: Disconnect garden hoses and drain faucets before first freeze.
Check For Leaks: Inspect plumbing systems for any leaks before winter to prevent potential problems.

911 Plumbing & Heating is currently looking for a licensed plumber in the Great Falls, MT area. The pay goes up to $35 per hour based on experience. All Plumbers are scheduled 40+ hours a week. We are looking for skilled craftsmen to add to our team of dedicated, safe, productive and proven craftsmen. 911 Plumbing & Heating provides weekly pay for all employees with PTO (paid time off), Employee Health Insurance and a company match IRA.

Job Description:
Plumbers install and repair water, gas and other piping systems in local homes and businesses. They install plumbing fixtures, such as bathtubs and toilets; as well as appliances, such as dishwashers and water heaters. They clean drains, remove obstructions and repair or replace broken pipes and fixtures. Plumbers may also install plumbing equipment and other piping systems.

Plumber Qualifications / Skills:
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and safety practices.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.
• Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron and copper.
• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements.

Plumber Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with general contractors, electricians and other construction professionals.
• Follow building plans and blueprints.
• Respond to, diagnose and resolve plumbing emergencies.
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
• Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work as required.
• Prepare bids, budgets and cost estimates.
• Keep accurate records of time.

Education and Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• State plumbing license.
• 1-3 years of experience as a journeyman plumber.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must have own tools.
