New tail fins! This simple mod makes a huge difference to help keep the turbines pointed into the wind. Living at the bottom of a large valley the air movement is considered "dirty wind" which means we rarely see straight line steady wind. The turbulent air movement can cause the turbines to sway back and fourth and they have a hard time speeding up enough to make productive power. With the new larger tails they have no problem pointing into the breeze and harvesting steady, productive energy all day.

500 watt wind turbine fro Green E Solutions. Tower is 25' tall, made from 2" black pipe with 1/4" coated steel cable for the guy wires. These turbines are known to exceed their rated wattage in good wind but will start making power in 12mph breezes.
