Richard Smith is a 1993 graduate of Western Oregon University's School of Polygraphy, an American Polygraph Association accredited school. Over 5 years in the military, and honorably discharged to seek a career in law enforcement with the Alaska State Troopers who I was initially employed with in December 1981. Later as a deputy sheriff in Washington State, then being selected to become department

polygraph examiner in 1993. I began my private practice in 1998, providing polygraph services to local law enforcement and government agencies on a part time basis. Having retired from 23 years in full time law enforcement as of Dec. 2004, I now operate Olympic Polygraph Inc full time, administering polygraph exams in serious criminal felony cases for attorneys throughout Western Wa. I also conduct pre-employment exams for law enforcement related positions, specialized s*x offender/SSOSA exams for attorneys and psycho-s*xual evaluators. I also see clients regarding private matters after careful assessment of their request for services, to ensure compliance with polygraph standards and ethics. I am a Nationally Certified Polygraph Examiner, and APA Certified in Post Conviction S*x Offender Testing, a specialized field of polygraphy.
