On Tuesday, we had a wonderful time connecting with the students and faculty at Enoree Career Center 📚

Our Vice President of Human Resources, Dawn Allen; HR/Safety Administrative Assistant, Mackenzie Madison; and Marketing Specialist, Michael Oliver II, visited the school to share about the Metromont Workforce Program and the opportunities available to students.

During the visit, students learned about Metromont’s culture, core values, professional development programs, and opportunities to gain hands on work experience while attending school.

We truly enjoyed the conversations, connections, and time spent with everyone. Thank you, Enoree Career Center, for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to come in and speak.

Produced by Metromont’s Hiram, GA manufacturing facility the West GA Technical College’s new 45-acre Carroll Campus in the Buffalo Creek Technology Park replaces the original 50-year-old Carroll Tech building on Newnan Road and is comprised of multiple buildings totaling 176,000 square feet. The new campus consists of a 3-story Main Administration Building and Maintenance Wing plus a Technical and Industrial Building with a 170’ span pedestrian bridge. All three structures consist of exterior precast wall panels.
The Main building consists of 29,458 SF of solid precast wall panels and 142 pieces. The Maintenance wing consists of 7,370 SF of insulated precast wall panels and 66 pieces. The Technical & Industrial building consists of 30,139 SF of insulated precast wall panels and 196 pieces.

Hugo has been selected as Safety Champion of the Month at our Hiram, GA plant . A valued member of our Finishing Department since October 2013, Hugo is known not only for his strong technical skills, but also for the genuine care he shows for his fellow associates.
From helping ensure ice and water are available on hot days to completing daily inspections with attention to detail, Hugo consistently keeps safety at the forefront. He also supports new team members by sharing his hands-on knowledge and helping them better understand their work.
Thank you, Hugo, for your dedication, leadership, and commitment to helping create a safer workplace every day. Congratulations on this well deserved recognition! 👏

Produced by Metromont’s Greenville and Spartanburg, SC manufacturing facilities and located in Asheboro, North Carolina, the Uwharrie Charter Academy High School is a STEAM school that was seeking to update its career academy space and offer students new classes in culinary arts, auto tech, welding, and construction trades. The school needed a building system that was cost-efficient, durable, and could meet its aggressive construction schedule. The Metromont team worked with Randolph County Schools and the design team to develop a total precast design that would receive top grades for the project.
The 109,600 SF project includes a 98,978 SF total precast concrete STEAM high school and career academy and an administration building.
