Earlier this week, Pocahontas-Old Ripley Volunteer Fire Department treasurer Diane Griffith, left, visited our Greenville offices to pick up a donation from our Operation Round Up program! Diane told Manager of Member Services Brooke Scott, right, that the donation would go towards purchasing search-and-rescue equipment for the department in light of a new natural gas pipeline being installed in the village.

This donation is possible because of our members who choose to round up their electric bill each month. Thank you for helping us give back to the communities. If you are interested in participating in ORU, please call us at (800) 637-8667.

A bird had caused a fault at the substation, precipitating the outage. Power has now been restored to affected members. Thank you for your patience!

Approximately 880 Southwestern Electric members served by our Shafter Substation in western Fayette County are without power this morning due to an issue at the substation. A crew has been dispatched to investigate the source of the outage. We will provide more information as we learn more.
