Hiring professional, skilled individual for our Team Lead in the Sheet Metal department located in Waller, TX .
This is a Direct hire opportunity.
Ideal candidate MUST have prior experience in the Manufacturing field.
Must be willing to relocate to Texas.
Relocation Incentive is available.
Responsibilities:
•Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints.
•Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
•Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
•Confer with other team leads to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
•Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
•Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.
•Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, die setters, and press operators
•Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
•Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
•Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
•Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
•Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
•Set up and adjust machines and equipment.
•Maintain operations data, such as production counts, Mapics information, die locations
•Maintain standards, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.
•Provide support Employees and coordinate activates with Fabrication Supervisor to ensure quality products for customers in absence of the fabrication supervisor, the leads are in charge of the affected area.
•Coordinate material handling in and out of the shop.
•Expedite critical path items and problem resolution.
•Review work instruction and drawing when needed.
•Ensure proper training of production personnel.
Requirements:
•High School diploma or GED equivalent
•Various certifications may be required based on the area in which they are designated to work
•Minimum 3-5 years of manufacturing experience
•Ability to supervise/lead others.
•General knowledge of department-specific functions.
•Ability to communicate well with others in a timely and accurate manner.
•Ability to work long hours if necessary and during peak season.
•Experience with PC
•Some physical activities such as lifting, bending, carrying and pushing/pulling may be required. Prolonged standing and walking. Lifting up to 10-20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
•Must have satisfactory job references.
•Must have good attendance record.
•Must be able to relocate. Job is located in Houston, Texas.
•Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test.
•Must be eligible to work in the US – No sponsorship provided”
Pay : $21.50 an hour
