Sometimes moving forward means taking a step back! 🚧⛈️

With a storm on the way, Matt spent today backfilling the footings we dug just yesterday for an addition to an existing home.

Why? To help prevent rainwater from infiltrating the home’s existing basement.

It’s not always about what you build—sometimes it’s about what you protect along the way.

Better safe than sorry!

Dead space? Matt doesn’t believe in it. 🍷

One of the things Matt does best is looking at a floor plan and seeing possibilities that might otherwise be overlooked.

In this home, the space beneath the staircase could have easily become an awkward, unused area. Instead, Matt saw an opportunity—and turned it into a beautiful, custom w**e room.

It’s those thoughtful details that make a custom home truly custom. Sometimes the best spaces in a home are hiding in plain sight.

Good design uses the space. Great design makes you wonder how you ever lived without it.
