Anyone can get an infection, and almost any infection can lead to sepsis—the body’s extreme response to an infection and a medical emergency. You can take specific steps to reduce your child’s risk of sepsis:

🧼 keep hands clean
🩹 keep cuts and wounds clean and covered until healed
⚕️ go to regular checkups and manage chronic conditions
💉 talk to your doctor about recommended vaccines
