Stop making huge thermostat swings to force faster savings. šŸŒ”ļø

COMMON ADVICE: Dropping the temperature dramatically overnight always saves more, and turning it way up later heats the house faster.

PROFESSIONAL REALITY: The thermostat sets a target. It does not make most systems heat faster. Deep setbacks can also create long recovery cycles, and some heat pumps may bring on supplemental heat.

āœ… Use a modest, consistent setback that fits your household.
šŸ•’ Program changes around your real sleep and away schedule.
šŸ‘€ If you own a heat pump, watch for frequent auxiliary or emergency heat use.

What temperature feels comfortable in your home during heating season? šŸ‘‡

Repair the furnace again, or start planning for a replacement?

It may be worth comparing your options if:

• Your system is 15 years old or older
• Repairs are becoming more frequent or expensive
• It runs longer but still struggles to keep you comfortable
• Some rooms are harder to heat than others
• The same issue keeps coming back

A free in-home estimate can help you understand your replacement options before a winter breakdown forces the decision.

Get equipment, installation and financing options with no obligation. Available through September 30.

One room always colder than the rest? Your thermostat may not be the problem.

Uneven heating can be caused by something as simple as a blocked register or by bigger airflow issues like leaking ductwork or limited return air.

Start with the easy stuff: make sure the register is open and not blocked by furniture. If the room still won’t warm up, it may be time to have the airflow checked.

Swipe through four common causes, and save this for the next time one room just won’t get comfortable.

Would your sump pump be ready if heavy rain hit tonight?

Here’s a quick test: slowly pour water into the sump pit until the float rises. The pump should turn on and begin discharging water. If it hums, short-cycles, or doesn’t start at all, it’s time to have it checked.

For a limited time, get a sump pump inspection for $49. We’ll check the pump, float switch, discharge line, and backup battery, if equipped.

Offer ends September 30.

When did you last check your furnace filter?

A good rule of thumb:

- 1-inch filter: every 30–60 days
- 4-inch media filter: every 4‐6 months
- Pets or allergies: check more frequently

A dirty filter can restrict airflow, reduce efficiency, and make your system work harder, especially as fall allergy season moves indoors.

Save this reminder for later, and ask us about whole-home air filtration at your next service visit.
