Terra Tech Engineering is pleased to announce a major milestone for long-time employee David Roark. David has fulfilled all requirements to be licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in Virginia. In recognition of his dedication and hard work, he has been named a partner at Terra Tech and will continue to serve as Vice President of Operations.

David joined Terra Tech full-time in 2003, after nearly three years of part-time work with the firm while he finished high school and attended college. Over his career, he has worked in nearly every part of the company’s operations including field services, quality control and materials testing, surveying, project management, and executive leadership. That range of experience gives him a thorough understanding of how the firm works and what its clients need.

In more than 20 years with Terra Tech, David has worked on many transportation, infrastructure, utility, and economic development projects across the region.

David lives in Big Rock with his wife, Michelle, and their daughter, Kami. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and supporting his daughter’s academic and extracurricular activities. He is active in his community through the Big Rock Volunteer Fire Department and is proud to live and work in Southwest Virginia.

The Terra Tech team was out in support of the Southern Gap Eagles last night as they pulled off a big win on homecoming. Terra Tech has been grateful to work as the civil engineering team for the school, and was happy to provide some goodies and support the team. Go Eagles!

Terra Tech has partnered with SWVA Sportsmen on habitat enhancement and public access improvements throughout Buchanan County.

These drone images provide a look at some of the completed work at Southern Gap below the Visitor Center and at Leemaster, where these improvements are helping create better opportunities for wildlife conservation, hunting, and outdoor recreation.

Our team provided engineering services for a variety of infrastructure and site improvements, including habitat enhancements, roadway construction, drainage systems, viewing shelters, and signage.

Terra Tech Engineering is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join our team.

This position will support a variety of civil, mining, environmental, and land development projects. We're looking for an engineer with permitting experience who can manage projects, prepare technical deliverables, and work directly with clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related engineering discipline and hold an active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

This is a full-time position with a 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts) offering a comprehensive benefits package, health and dental insurance, 401(k), life insurance, and paid time off. Salary ranges from $75,000-$95,000, depending on experience.

Development at the Southern Gap Amphitheater continues as this aerial look provides a great view of how the project is coming together. Terra Tech Engineering is proud to be serving as the civil engineer for this project.

Once complete, the Southern Gap Amphitheater will serve as a venue for live music, entertainment, and community events for residents and visitors in Buchanan County.

Here's an updated look at the future Eagles Express at Southern Gap, with significant progress visible across the site as construction moves steadily toward completion.

Terra Tech Engineering is proud to be providing civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying, and construction inspection services for this project. The building, site improvements, and supporting infrastructure are all coming together as another development advances here in Southwest Virginia.

This position will support a variety of engineering, scientific, and environmental projects. We're looking for a motivated individual with a science or engineering background and strong research skills.

Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field, or equivalent research experience. Research experience through employment, internships, academic projects, or laboratory work is preferred.

Development continues to move forward at Southern Gap, where Site 4 is being expanded for West River Conveyors' future location, along with development of an additional 9-acre area for future growth.

Since our last update, significant progress has been made on both the site and future facility, with development activities continuing to transform the area and bring the project vision to life.

Terra Tech Engineering is supporting this project through site planning and ongoing construction oversight.

The Terra Tech team got together this past weekend for our annual company picnic, enjoying food and fellowship with our team and the families who support us throughout the year.

During the picnic, we recognized Terra Tech engineer Stephen Mullins as this year's Employee of the Year.

As part of the recognition, Stephen received the KFC Chicken Bucket, an old Terra Tech tradition dating back to the company's early days when the team would too often gather for lunch at the old Grundy KFC. The bucket was historically passed from one Employee of the Year to the next, making Stephen the first recipient as we reintroduce the tradition.

Congratulations, Stephen, and thank you to everyone who helped make this year's picnic a success!
