We offer civil engineering and environmental consulting services for private and government sector clients along the Gulf Coast.

As a Project Manager and Project Engineer at Covington, Nathan contributes to a wide range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, including sewer lift station design, transportation improvements, permitting, construction administration, and on-site project management. His strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering quality work make him a valuable member of our team.

Earning a PE license is a significant professional achievement that reflects years of education, experience, dedication, and hard work. We are proud to have Nathan on our team and look forward to supporting his continued growth and success as an engineer.

Covington is excited to welcome Hanieh Moghadam, Ph.D., who joins the firm as the newest Project Coastal Engineer to support our coastal and waterfront services.

Hanieh brings more than 12 years of experience in coastal and water resources engineering, numerical modeling, and metocean analysis — including storm surge and wave modeling, sediment transport, and coastal morphology analysis for agencies such as USACE, BOEM, and NCDOT. Her expertise includes state-of-the-art coastal modeling tools like DHI MIKE, Delft3D, and ADCIRC across harbor, marine energy, restoration, and coastal infrastructure projects.

Her expertise adds new depth to better serve the coastal communities we work in. Please join us in giving Hanieh a warm welcome!

Just like that, another summer has come to a close, and we’re saying goodbye to our summer intern, Johnathon McCormick!

Known around the office as “The Specialist,” Johnathon has spent the past three summers as a valued member of the Covington team. While earning his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, he has contributed to a wide range of projects, from conducting research and supporting proposal development to assisting our team wherever he was needed. His willingness to learn, positive attitude, and dependable work ethic have made a lasting impression on everyone he has worked with.

In just a few weeks, Johnathon will begin an exciting new chapter as he heads to law school. We are incredibly grateful for the time he’s spent with us and can’t wait to see all that he accomplishes in the years ahead!
