Mucho busy as always. Another grateful week, another round of solid projects.

A repeat customer in Forney had us replace their failed, sinking driveway. We have a pretty efficient system of replacing these drives, and the crew never disappoints.

We had the opportunity to install new LVP flooring and remodel/help complete a bathroom/shower at the personal property of our good friend and plumbing partner. As long as his wife is happy, we are happy. šŸ˜‰ This was out in Henderson Co, close to Athens
Hit up Currin Plumbing for all of your needs out there.

Another repeat Dallas customer (we repaired and remodeled his pool spa not too long ago) had us install piers under his falling drive and underneath the raised wing-wall of his pool. Both items were previously installed by others, and we accommodated with proper structural repair and support.

We put a bow on our rehab of a 100 year old home in Dallas (foundation/structure/etc.), and now our friends with Docā€™s Roofing and Construction are completing painting, etc.

All in a weekā€™s work.

Staying after it as always. šŸ’ŖšŸ˜ŽšŸ™Œ

Sooooo stinkinā€™ close to finishing our large Dallas remodel, closing up and creating a first story ceiling for the creation of a second story office above.
The previous downstairs office is now a guest bedroom with bath, and we are almost done with this final area of the home.
We are very proud of this one.

We have ā€œcontinued on smartlyā€ as I say with the exterior and structural restoration of an older home in East Dallas. Structural walls and siding repairs have begun today.

We also slipped in 2 more repair jobs in Rockwall and Terrell. We repaired a degraded concrete retaining wall, matching design and also repaired a chain link security fence for a storage facility.


The perils of working in Dallas.I love Dallas, especially East Dallas and Lakewood. We enjoy working on those properties...

I love Dallas, especially East Dallas and Lakewood. We enjoy working on those propertiesā€¦.

So I was traveling down Greenville Ave, close to the M Streets, and then this happened.

A transient who was walking down the sidewalk started throwing rocks at passing vehicles. I followed him, called the law, and they picked him up without incident.
It was a mental health episode, however, I told the cop my opinion. That is the transient wanted to be picked up, get out of the heat.
A/C at Lew-Lew, 3 hots and a cot for a week.

I told the cop no worries, just document the damage and Iā€™ll be on my way. As for the other 10 cars he hit, who knowsā€¦.

A little bit of this, a little bit of that.

We ripped out a failed driveway at the Cedar Creek golf club that had no rebar in it. No problemā€¦1/2 inch rebar in 16 inch centers, 5 inches thick, and adequate control joints. šŸ«”

We tag-teamed another East Dallas project with our good friends at Docā€™s roofing, removing a complete roof and decking, sandwiching in new rafters and vertical supports with new decking.
Docā€™s then roofed the home. We now have the opportunity to continue saving the rest of this structure and exterior through next week. Saving older homes makes us very happy. šŸ šŸ› ļøšŸŖš

We slapped together RV framework in one day for another good friend at X-Vert demo, who also happens to be our heavy equipment partner. Heā€™s a friend, so as friends do, Iā€™ll ā€œeventuallyā€ get back over to slap up the metal roofing. šŸ˜‚

And then hell froze overā€¦the boss-man actually had time to squeeze in a 2 hour masonry repair in Rockwall by himself. I took photos so that my wife knows I donā€™t lie about actually laboring šŸ˜‰

Finito! Thatā€™s a wrap! Put a bow on it!

We finally got our Athens kitchen remodel completed. The customers are friends and appreciated supporters of our lilā€™ ole company.

We had a delay while waiting on a third party countertop company, however, the kitchen was left operational with temporary plywood counters and a working sink during that timeframe.

Today we mobilized, following behind the countertop dudes, installing our backsplash and performing touchups.

We are extremely happy with the way this one turned out, and we greatly appreciate the trust and business given to us by the Davis Family.

The customer and myself picked out all schemes, designs, and colors.
We argued over who can take credit for that, and who has better taste (she does fyi) šŸ¤£šŸ˜‰

This one meant a lot to me.

Still actively performing our Dallas interior remodel, still waiting on countertops for our Athens remodel, but we managed to slip in this project in old Mesquite for a dear friend.
A new deck. It was originally planned and started by his son.

More than just a friendā€¦my first employer. At the ripe age of 13 I began working for one of the most kind hearted, generous, honest, and humble men I have ever come to know.
He has known me since I was a toddler. Has seen me through highs and lows. And now I get to do something for him.

I canā€™t thank my crew enough. You guys knocked it out of the park.

Howdy!!
Been too long between Fredonia posts, but we have been busy as always!

Our Dallas remodel is cooking right along. šŸ”„
We are closing in a second story area to make an office and adding a bathroom/closet downstairs to create a guest bathroom from the previous office space.

We had the pleasure of installing channel drains for a repeat customer in Mesquite. We had previously constructed the 9000 square ft parking lot for his commercial property.

We helped out our friends and heavy equipment team with a culvert/driveway install way on our in the booniesā€¦

And lastly (and my most favorite), we constructed 200 linear feet of board on board fence in beautiful Gun Barrel City.
This project was for ownershipā€™s property, and you better believe it was for a very specific reason šŸ¤«
We also love our Arlo brand cameras on the propertyā€¦and our livestock gates from Atwoodā€™s. I love that place.

Round 2 of todayā€™s Post-A-Thon:

We installed a cool flagstone dry stack Landscape feature for new customers in Royse City.

We also were able to create a cool landscape area for repeat customers in East Dallas.
This way, they donā€™t have to look at their neighborā€™s shared fence so much. They will place vine in this area.

We also fixed some columns for some of our OG customers ļæ¼out in Forney. I may have already posted that oneā€¦.now you get to see it again I guess. šŸ¤”

Always a little late and behind on posts, so we will send one after another out today, showing what weā€™ve been up to for the past couple weeks.

Round 1:
We performed Foundation repair job for this 100 year-old pier and beam home.
We had previously removed the unsafe, detached garage for this repeat customer in East Dallas.
Now our friends at Docā€™s Roofing will replace the roof and decking, and we will help with rafter replacement.
We love the opportunity to save older homes, and we do not use any damn wood shims underneath a pier and beam home. Install pads, concrete blocks, and steel shims.

We also put a bow on our small building addition in Dallas, adding a climate controlled outdoor office for this customer. Came out very well.

Another new Dallas customer had us repair leaking skylights, leaking metal roof, and failed hardwood flooring from water pe*******on.

Dallas, proper, Rockwall, and Cedar Creek Lakeā€¦ we stay busy ļæ¼
