Shop Talk featuring Tori, back in the shop and off the keyboard.
Today we’re breaking down gable trim and why it matters.
On a gable roof, that triangular edge is exposed to wind driven rain. Your panels run up the roof, but that side edge is vulnerable. That is where gable trim ties everything together. It locks the panel into the rake edge, integrates with your Z bar, works alongside your drip edge, and seals the system tight.
This one is bent on our 2014 Schechtl CNC. Open hems, clean folds, no squished edges. Precision you will not get off a hand brake. Every hem is formed to hook properly into the system, especially critical on snap lock profiles.
Small hem. Large hem. Clean 90. Proper kick out.
Built to shed water. Built to handle wind. Built to last.
Open hems and perfect bends. That is the difference CNC equipment makes.
