Ok clients choose where to cut it after we heat treated it for bugs clean out all the years of funk we cut and sanded it for hours and now with the first coat of custom stain on. Next step second coat of stain then we will pour a clear resin in all the holes so no bugs take up residency in the finished project stay tuned.

As a small contractor I’ve always worked from home so to speak, my office and storage buildings are here at my house but now with this pandemic a lot of people are working from home. Your living room is your office and or school space , your kitchen is your coffee house and lunchroom. Where does work end and home begin I know for years I struggle with turning work off and separating home life from work life and it’s hard but having dedicated workspace in your house for your job is the best start. Also creating a relaxing space that works not allowed in is the best mental pick me up. A spa like bathroom a kitchen or breakfast nook the reminds you of your favorite coffee place/internet cafe and a outdoor living space. We can all agree when this pandemic is over the world our world is forever changed. whether we ever go back to the way it was businesses will reevaluate how we work or you might be one of the Frontline workers who just wants to come home and relax after a long day or you might be one of the work at home workers that wanna be able to turn off work either way reach out to your local small contractor and see if we can help you feel more relaxed in your home. Sorry for the ugly guy but this is a serious subject this deck came with the house built by the home builder. Luckily the deck never fell down. 1st thing not one of the floor joists were attached to the beam. 2nd no concrete footer under the support post which were only about a foot in the ground. 3 RD no flashing or caulking used at ledger. As they say listen up hire a deck master someone that’s know the codes someone who likes to educate you. Ask questions and don’t believe a house builder when he says yeah we can throw a deck in no big deal.
