Etiflex® has been manufacturing and selling molded labels throughout the world for over twenty years. The proprietary formula for their plastic was developed by the owner, a chemist, and all material is still made fr
om scratch at the plant . This allows Etiflex® to custom blend an advanced proprietary formula of resins and additives that can be tailored to meet the demands of a specific environment - an advantage that no other label company can offer. Etiflex originally started as a supplier for shoes and apparel labels, but today that only counts as a very small percentage of the business. As the strength and durability of the Etiflex material became known to other industries it became apparent that there were many markets that needed the extra durability of the Etiflex® label. Today Etiflex Corp sells their labels in many industries and exports around the globe. As Etiflex grew to meet the needs of its customers it also expanded its knowledge base and applications. Although originally only used as a sewn on label, Etiflex now has the technology and knowhow to laminate the labels with fabric or hook and loop and also offers many different types of attachment systems - from traditional mechanical fasteners to advanced adhesives, heat sealing formulas, and RF welding. Recently, Etiflex moved into RFID technology with many custom designs for the Etiflex® labels and started a new and venture called TrazeTag® . TrazeTags has received a patent for its innovative approach to an RFID label. The TrazeTag® was recently submitted to General Dynamics to be tested and passed all of the tests required use at General Dynamics. Etiflex recently applied for another Patent for a new design that allows a label to be permanently marked in the field with specific user information after the item is already in use. Information like the in service date, inspection dates, or a security ID # can be marked after the item is in stock on the shelf or after it is put in service.
