Energy use adds up! Running multiple appliances at the same time can put extra strain on the electric grid during high-use periods. Spacing out large appliances like washers, dryers and dishwashers helps reduce peak demand and helps support a reliable supply of electricity.

‼️Update #2: Power to the Mist Substation has been restored as of 4:55. Thank you for your patience‼️

‼️Update: The mobile transformer and switch trailer are on site at the Mist Substation‼️

📢 Power Outage Update 📢

Ashley-Chicot Electric has experienced a transformer failure at the Mist Substation.

A mobile substation unit is currently en route from Little Rock. Once it arrives, crews will need additional time to install, test, and bring the equipment online.

At this time, there is a high probability that power will remain out throughout the day for members served by the Mist Substation.

We understand the inconvenience this causes and sincerely apologize. Our crews are working diligently to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Edit for clarification this was not a planned outage this was equipment failure ‼️‼️‼️
