Ernst Heating & Cooling Ernst Heating & Cooling has been providing innovative solutions for our customers home comfort needs for over half a century.

Al Ernst first opened the doors to Ernst Hardware in 1951. You could find just about anything you needed at Ernst Hardware from paint to appliances to lawn mowers. Starting in 1954 you could even have Ernst Hardware install a furnace in your home. In 1961 you could get an air conditioner, in 1969 a heat pump. In 1984 you could even get a geothermal system installed, which is what we have become kn

own for. Ernst Hardware has long since dropped the "Hardware" and added the "Heating & Cooling", as well as dropping the paint, appliances, and lawn mowers. But after all these years we still install all kinds of products and provide heating and air conditioning repair, replacement and installation services that keep you comfortable in your home.

MEET THE TEAM MONDAY 💙🔧🇺🇸
This week we're introducing Dominik — a Maintenance Tech II here at Ernst Heating & Cooling!

If you're an Ernst Comfort Plan member, there's a good chance Dominik has helped keep your heating and cooling system running its best with one of your annual maintenance appointments.

Before joining Ernst, Dominik served 10 years in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer, where he worked with demolitions and explosives. He enlisted right out of high school, was stationed in Louisiana and Hawaii, and deployed in 2018. After returning home, he enrolled in the HVAC program at SWIC in 2024 and joined the Ernst team while still in school. We'd say he's traded explosives for heat exchangers...and we're okay with that. 😄

It's been an exciting couple of years for Dominik! He met his fiancée after returning from the Army, recently got engaged, bought a house, and is getting married in 2027! These days, you'll usually find him tackling another home project because apparently buying a house comes with a never-ending to-do list. 🏡

When he's not working, Dominik enjoys watching NASCAR, catching reruns of The Big Bang Theory, and spending time with family.

We're grateful for Dominik's service to our country and thankful to have him as part of the Ernst family. Thanks for everything you do, Dominik! 👏💙

MEET THE TEAM MONDAY 💙🔧☀️
This week we're introducing Caleb - one of our Install Technicians here at Ernst Heating & Cooling!

Caleb started at Ernst in maintenance before finding his home in installs. After some time away, he returned to the Ernst team—and right back to doing what he enjoys most. Ask him what he likes about working here, and his answer is simple: the people.🤝

His favorite part of installs? Every day is something different. He enjoys taking out old systems and replacing them with something brand new that homeowners can count on for years to come.

He's also earned a bit of a reputation around here... if there's a tiny crawlspace, cramped attic, or spot nobody else wants to squeeze into, Caleb is usually the one who gets volunteered. (Whether he volunteered himself is another story. 😂)

One thing you should know about Caleb: he'll take a 95° attic over a freezing winter day any time. His official stance is simple - he'd rather sweat than shiver. ☀️😄

Outside of work, Caleb enjoys grilling, playing video games, riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing, swimming, playing baseball, and taking weekend trips with his girlfriend. Basically, if the weather's nice, there's a good chance he's not sitting inside.

We're glad Caleb found his way back to the Ernst family, and we're thankful for the hard work and positive attitude he brings to the team every day! 👏💙
