This Sunday, July 19th, is National Ice Cream Day! The history of ice cream is a long and storied one, with a probable origin as shaved ice with fruit juice, and eventually developing into the rich creamy dessert we know and love today. In honor of International Women’s Day, we are refocusing our TA-GivesBack program for the month of March to support nonprofits that support women and girls in STEM. Simply take a selfie with your texture analyzer and send it to us, and we will donate $50 to your choice of five nonprofits that we're highlighting. The program saw great participation in the fall when customer selfies helped direct donations to food pantries and food banks, and this month we are turning that same spirit of community toward organizations that help women and girls pursue and thrive in scientific careers. Any of our customers (you don't need to be a woman!) can submit a selfie and show support for expanding opportunities for women and girls in science.
