💡 Pavement Maintenance Tip: Not all crack and joint sealants perform the same when temperatures change.

One of the biggest challenges in pavement preservation is finding a sealant that stays flexible year-round. A sealant that becomes brittle in cold weather can crack and fail, while one that softens too much in warm weather can track and create maintenance issues.

When sealing joints in concrete pavements or random cracks in asphalt surfaces, look for products that remain pliable through seasonal temperature swings. Flexible sealants help accommodate pavement movement while maintaining a durable seal against water intrusion and debris.

Products such as 3405-M are designed specifically for these conditions, providing a modified, soft, flexible seal that performs in both hot and cold climates while supporting long-term pavement maintenance strategies.

Celebrating Scott Davis on 45 years with !

Throughout his career, Scott has served in several leadership positions, including beginning as an Inside Sales Representative at our Hampshire facility, General Manager of W. R. Meadows of Arizona, General Manager of Northern California, Western Regional Sales Manager, and today, Vice President of our Western Division. Along the way, he helped lead major facility expansions, manufacturing improvements, and operational growth across the western United States.

The International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) has officially released the updated ICRI 510.3-2025 Guide for Conducting Corrosion Potential (Half-Cell) Testing for Steel Reinforced Concrete Structures, helping establish the latest benchmark for evaluating corrosion activity in reinforced concrete.

During National Roofing Week, we’re proud to recognize the next generation of roofing and waterproofing professionals.

W. R. MEADOWS was honored to attend and support the 2026 National Roofers & Waterproofers Apprenticeship Competition, hosted May 19–21 at the Bay Area Roofers & Waterproofers Apprenticeship Training Center in Livermore, CA.

Sponsored by the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers, and Allied Workers, the event brought together some of the nation’s top apprentices to showcase their skills, craftsmanship, and dedication to the trade.

Events like this highlight the importance of education, hands-on training, and investing in the future of the roofing and waterproofing industry. Congratulations to all the competitors who represented their regions with pride and professionalism.

Please join us in welcoming Darrin White to W. R. MEADOWS OF TEXAS as our newest Outside Sales Representative!

Darrin officially joined the team on May 4th and will support customers across southern Louisiana and parts of eastern Texas, including the Houston area. He brings experience in concrete, aggregates, and construction chemicals within the commercial construction and precast industries and is excited to continue growing his knowledge in waterproofing and Division 7 solutions.
