Oh, what fun it's been to fix this up ♥️ We've gotten to experience several trails and features that only the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park could offer. The very best one (Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail) ends here and brings us home, right to the door. Enjoy the private patio overlooking the pool and enjoy listening to the Roaring Fork stream (trout waters), right across the road. And the location - 1 mile (walkable, but free Trolley access makes it effortless) from downtown Gatlinburg makes this an ideal full-time residence or a short/long term rental investment. This 2BR/2BA recently renovated and fully furnished condominium boasts custom tile floors and bathrooms, new flooring/paint/fixtures, new stainless appliances, low monthly HOA fees that provide free cable TV, free internet, free water/sewer/garbage, on-site coin-operated laundry, pool access, groundskeeping and more. Please click the link or call/text Sharon Roseman of Big6 Properties (828-320-4726) for more information or to schedule a showing!

I've decided to showcase this old home after finding out some delightful insight to it. When we bought it, we felt it was old - when we first started working on it, we found newspapers between floors that suggested it might've been early 1920s. Fast forward about a month ago, I borrowed a book from Yadkin County Historical and Genealogical Society (Andrew and Bambi, thank you) and discovered the house is actually the R. W. Cummings house, Jonesville Historian Lexa Cummings Groce's home, circa 1884. There have been some modifications, but there are still plenty of old charm preserved in it. They don't make houses like this anymore, and we're honored to be the next custodians

Finally, a Finish line! It was a long wait but well worth it. We put the kitchen to rest with new cabinets, countertops, appliances and fixtures. The downstairs bathroom - she flip-flopped on redoing it or not to do it. Well, she did it. New tile shower, sink and fixtures, and it looks great. All of the final results together give this two floor condo in Gatlinburg more of a (nostalgic) cabin feel, and fitting to its surroundings; every trip here puts a new memory on the photo roll. From neighborhood bears to beautiful sunsets, this place has it all - and ready for a new beginning!

It's been a long minute, and we've been playing the waiting game since September in having the kitchen finished. The old elements in the condo are what I love (the custom tiles, the wood plank walls, the stain glass fixtures). It puts the nostalgic twist in how I remember the cabins we would stay in in Gatlinburg, and it's almost ready for more memories. In the meantime, enjoy the intermission

It has been long, and what feels like a winding summer vacation. From playing Park Ranger and tending to a few near perfect cabins in Stone Mountain State Park, N. C. to playing Tourist and working on our condo in Gatlinburg, a few weeks later. We always talked about being here - this is where our dreaming began. And here we are - doing what we love and working hard, doing what we're driven to. Thankful and Blessed every day

We've been cleaning up inside and around the big cabin. The inside of the cabin is kind of dark and the walls have faded, and when I think 'camp', I always remember things being fresh, clean and white. So Optimus Prime is activated and what a difference!

There's nothing better than working up a little sweat and cooling off in a mountain stream.

This King of the Hill (this side of the road) toppled over during Helene and missed the cabin (Barrin provides the visual to put the size of this Pine tree into perspective). It took the power out til today. Much manpower and many hours later, the yard is finally all cleaned up.
