The UFC Headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada, utilized Pecora 890NST and 895NST Non-Staining Silicone Sealants as part of its glazing system installation. Applied by Quantum Glass, 890NST was installed at the window perimeter joints, while 895NST was applied in the butt glazing joints. As part of Pecora's Non-Staining Technology (NST) product line, both sealants are engineered to help protect adjacent substrates from silicone-fluid migration that can lead to surface staining and residue rundown, making them well suited for architectural glazing applications where long-term façade appearance is important. The products were selected based on the contractor's long-standing experience with Pecora silicones, citing consistent performance and confidence in the products across previous projects, as well as the support provided by distributor Construction Sealants & Supply. At a warehouse project in Maryland, Pecora 890NST Non-Staining Silicone Sealant was installed as a three-bead joint system on precast concrete panels, consisting of a single interior bead and a double exterior bead. The sealant was selected for its ability to provide durable, weather-resistant joints while accommodating movement within the precast façade. Due to the project's accelerated construction schedule, interior joints were sealed immediately after the panels were erected, before structural steel was installed, ensuring access to areas that would later become restricted. After the building structure stabilizes and the roof is in place, the recessed exterior bead will be installed, followed by backer rod placement to prevent wall coating from reaching the sealant bond line. The exterior sealant will then be field color-matched to coordinate with the final wall coating.
