A 12,500 sq. ft. warehouse facility in Yakima, WA, serving a regional hop producer, underwent a coating system upgrade completed by K5 Contracting. The project involved removal of existing coatings and installation of a new system using Pecora-Deck HB1100-SA Traffic Coating System in combination with DynaThane 800MM Control Joint Resin. Together these projects work to support the demands of daily operations, where hops are conveyed, dried, and processed across the floor. DyanThane 800MM was applied to the concrete joints followed by the application of P-808 primer and a 25-mil layer of Pecora-Deck HB1100-SA. The Yakima Valley, responsible for a significant portion of U.S. hop production, requires facilities that can withstand continuous material handling and equipment traffic. This project reflects a coordinated application effort, including crew training and efficient installation, to meet the functional needs of the space.
