PENNVEST-funded water quality improvement projects made the 2026 lists for both the AQUARIUS and PISCES Recognition Programs.

The State College Borough Authority received an Aquarius Honorable Mention for their Nixon-Kocher Water Treatment Facility project that included a new treatment facility, well upgrades with advanced treatment and provided full backup, stronger drought resilience, and more reliable service.

The Derry Township Municipal Authority was a Recognized Project in this year’s Pisces Program for their Digester Emerging Contaminants project which implemented a biosolids drying and gasification system to remove PFAS and enable beneficial reuse of biosolids. This has allowed the Authority to reach their goals of Class A biosolid production and help eliminate PFAS in biosolids down to non-detect amounts in a biosolids ash product, diversify end use options, reduce biosolids volume, and meet current regulatory challenges for land application.

When do you need to submit a Funding Recipient Information Change Request though PENNVEST?
• Change to collateral associated with the loan
• Changes in the legal entity name or company information because of a restructuring, merger, or acquisition
• Request for Consent is needed to acquire additional debt from another financial institution or state agency
• A change is needed in the repayment structure of the existing PENNVEST loan

To initiate a change request, email the following to [email protected]:
• Name of the funding recipient
• Contact name
• Contact mailing address
• Contact email address
• Contact phone number
• ME # (loan number)
• Details on the change being requested
