It's Friday and this customer in Lynchburg is moving into their new garage! The siding, dormers, windows and gable overhangs were specifically chosen to match the house and it turned out looking like it's always been there. This is a 26x36x10 stick built garage with an 11/12 pitch roof, a 12'x36' attic room and three 9x8 garage doors. The customer opted to put in his own foundation and we provided the rest.

Did you know you can build a post-frame garage and leave out the concrete floor until later? Since the posts-in-ground serve as the foundation, the slab is a floating floor inside the building, and can be done at any point after the building is completed. This customer chose to spend his garage budget maximizing the size of the build, and save up for a concrete floor down the road.

This 30x52x12 in Albemarle County is one of my favorite projects to date! White siding with a black roof is a classic color scheme and the black garage and entry doors really make this building pop. The 8/12 pitch roof gives plenty of room for the 12'x52' bonus room in the upstairs.
