What's one of the differences between a Post-frame and a Stick-Frame garage? When the concrete floor gets poured! This post-frame garage is nearly complete; framing, roofing, siding are done. The concrete floor is poured inside the building as one of the last steps prior to installing the garage doors. Since the floor "floats" inside, it uses substantially less concrete than a full-perimeter footer foundation like a traditional Stick-Frame garage.

It's Friday and this customer in Lynchburg is moving into their new garage! The siding, dormers, windows and gable overhangs were specifically chosen to match the house and it turned out looking like it's always been there. This is a 26x36x10 stick built garage with an 11/12 pitch roof, a 12'x36' attic room and three 9x8 garage doors. The customer opted to put in his own foundation and we provided the rest.

The custom woodgrain doors and downspouts that are the corner color instead of gutter color are just a few of the details this customer selected to better match their vision. This 30x52x12 in Albemarle County is one of my favorite projects to date! White siding with a black roof is a classic color scheme and the black garage and entry doors really make this building pop. The 8/12 pitch roof gives plenty of room for the 12'x52' bonus room in the upstairs.
