Today, we’re celebrating the signing of our Mine Plan of Operations authorizing activities on federal Forest Service land.

For our community, this represents more than a project milestone. It’s about creating local opportunities, building strong workforce, and responsibly developing the resources that will be needed for the future.

It was a pleasure hosting special guests for this signing event on site including USDA Deputy Secretary Stephen Vaden, Permitting Council Executive Director Emily Domenech and U.S. Forest Service Regional Forester Michiko Martin.

A new skill-trade program is officially underway in Santa Cruz County!

Yesterday, we welcomed 10 students - all from Santa Cruz County - plus three Rio Rico High School CTE dual enrollment grads to the Automated Industrial Technology (AlT) program at the Santa Cruz Center. The program expands access to high-demand technical training through Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs' ReadyTechGo workforce initiative.

16 additional students also began the second cohort of the Electrician Certificate program.
