Milwaukee Basement Finish on 100+ year old home!

This project featured a complete stair and railing reconstruction, structural repairs for foundation and additional 1st/2nd floor support, as well as many mechanical updates and cleanup prior to finishing the basement. We then framed and finished the lower level with a bathroom and recreation room for additional living space. Custom-height doors were created and installed for a proportional look to work with the lower ceiling height.

For this particular project, we installed new TimberTech composite decking and fascia in the Legacy Expresso finish, along with a black aluminum Verticable railing system - all maintenance free construction.

We also installed a new aluminum-clad fiberglass entry door to serve the front of the home, and a beautiful barn door for additional interior character.

Today we finished our basement renovation in Mequon! Our client wanted a more functional living space for both work and entertainment purposes. We began by removing all of the old carpeting, wainscot, and dropped ceiling, and framed-in new soffits around the mechanicals for a clean new drywalled ceiling. We also utilized the existing utility window location to install a new egress window to improve natural lighting. From there we finished the space with a new beverage bar and quartz tops, luxury vinyl flooring, and millwork to match other recent renovations in the home.
